Today I completed my Dog First Aid training which teaches basic first aid for dogs in emergency situations.
The course covered drowning, burns, heat stroke, bleeding, road traffic accidents and much more. Along with my Dog First Aid Kit which I keep in my van, this gives me the ability to provide treatment to dogs in emergencies before taking them to the vets.
Much of the course covers how to prevent injuries in the first place, but if I were to ever come across an injured dog that needs attention, it is great having the confidence to know what to do.
