On Sunday the 16th July, we had a great opportunity to sponsor the event, ‘Hounds on the Heath’, raising money for The Mayhew. For those who may not have heard about this charity, The Mayhew is one of the most effective animal welfare organisations in London, rehabilitating and re-homing dogs and cats, so one of course, we were very excited to help with.
It was a day jam packed day, full of fun, dogs and great stalls to have a look at. The stalls ranged from ones like ours, to organic dog treats, lovely collars and leads that you could buy and The Mayhew stalls themselves. We’re sure many of the dogs that day got very spoilt! Many locals who live in and around the Hampstead area came along and brought their dogs to enjoy the day so a brilliant turn out!.
We’d like to say a big thank you to our clients who were able to come and say hello on the day. It was great to see quite a few familiar faces and great to see the dogs we walk in Regents Park and on Hampstead Heath. Thankfully the rain managed to stay away all day, the British Weather didn’t let us down for once which was a bonus.
From 11am until the end of the day, they held fun competitions for the dogs to be entered into, one which we were a guest judge for, ‘The Most Gorgeous Girl’. A big well done to one of our dogs we walk in West Heath, Ayla, for coming third!
It was a great, successful day and we were able to help raise, along with other companies who were there, around £7500 so it made the whole experience even more worthwhile and we are looking forward to the next event. The next event we will be attending is Pup Aid in Primrose Hill at the end of the Summer. Please feel free to come and along and help support.
